2009 CLP Banquet

The CLP Banquet was held December 4th at Jeff's Catering in Brewer, Maine. Everyone in attendance enjoyed a buffet style dinner and comedy performed by Birdie Goggins aka "The Marden's Lady". The 50/50 raffle, as always, was a great success. The proceeds go to Log-A-Load for Kids benefitting the Children's Miracle Network. The lucky winner was Tammy Cropley of Brookton, Maine. Tammy donated the winnings back to Log-A-Laod.

Awards were presented to outstanding loggers in the mechanical, conventional, and contractor/supervisor categories. The winners were: Tony Cropley - mechanical, Dale Walker - conventional, and Todd Ladd - contractor/ supervisor. They all went home with a $1,000.00 check, a jacket and a plaque recognizing their accomplishment. These awards are sponsored yearly by Huber Resources. Congratulations to the winners!

The evening ended with the traditional door prize drawings of various safety equipment and a chainsaw. This year the winner took home a 346 Husky, valued at $550.00, that was donated by the Maine TREE Foundation. The lucky winner was Chris Maxim of Chesterville, Maine.
